Wallflex® aluminum panels could be cut and worked according to specific customer requirements and it is possible to create the most varied geometries. The work on the panels takes place using machinery similar to those used for woodworking; this thanks to the high workability of Wallflex®. In consideration of the tight tolerances required for bending along the edges, the aluminum panels are machined on CNC machines.
Wallflex® aluminum panel could also be used, in low thicknesses, for the realization of "L", "U" shaped elements or to create tubular elements, boxed thanks to the folding process.

Starting from a flat panel our carpentry is able to create finished objects; through sectioning, edges made with the folding method and “V” incisions we are able to obtain a finished element made with very few visible joints and extremely more resistant also from a structural point of view.

METHODS OF FIXING THE PANEL

There are different methods to fix Wallflex® panel:

Rivets:
Wallflex® aluminum panel allows the use of standard rivets or threaded inserts for joying two panels together or for connect other materials and accessories. Rivets and threaded inserts could be through and act on both foils or act on only one foil.

Screws, nuts and bolts: Wallflex® panel allows the use of common self-tapping screws.

Gluing: it is possible to create elements in Wallflex® by gluing the panels together, obtaining an aesthetic cleanliness and avoiding that screws or rivets are visible. In addition, the glues have a sealing action against liquids, distribute the load force, are light and do not change the geometry of the finished element. It is also possible to use the glue to join Wallflex® to other types of accessories and materials.

THE EDGING - FOLDING OR OTHER METHODS

The edging made by folding is the most used type of edging.

His technology allows to obtain sharp edges of different angles. This also allows the edge to have the same surface finish as the panel, whatever it is, giving continuity to the element.

The edging can also be made with extruded aluminum, plastic or ABS; in this case the profiles, which can have different sections I, T and C, are fixed to the edge of the aluminum panel by means of glue.

Wallflex® panel could be edged using aluminum or PVC tapes, which are glued to the profile of the panel. This type of edge is made so that the thickness of the skins making up the panel is not visible.

The panel could also be edged along the sides by means of blocks in MDF, marine plywood or with solid aluminum, according to the customers’s needs.
